It's a collision of worlds as a new NFL day dawns on a distant shore.
The Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles get Sunday going with a 9:30 a.m. Eastern game in London.
The Jaguars hold a 7-7 record in London while the Eagles sport a 2-0 record in international games. The two met at Wembley Stadium in London in 2018 with the Eagles coming out on top 24-18.
For their 2026 matchup, they meet at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Eagles are 2-2 and are coming off a demoralizing 24-20 loss to the Rams where they led 20-10 after three quarters.
Meanwhile, the Jaguars (3-1) continue to roll along after knocking off the Bengals 22-17.
Jacksonville's defense has been electric, grabbing two more interceptions in Cincy while being tied for the league-lead
with six. That could spell trouble for the Eagles' struggling quarterback, Jalen Hurts.
Hurts threw for just 93 yards on 12 of 27 passing against the Rams, including two touchdowns. Hurts is 24th in the league with 713 passing yards.
Add to that the facts that Eagles running back Saquon Barkley may not play with a hamstring injury and WR DeVonta Smith likely won't play (also a hamstring injury) and things look challenging for the Eagles.
Last week, the Jaguars held the Bengals to just 23 rushing yards on 15 attempts, which was the fifth-lowest single-game total allowed by the Jags' defense in franchise history.
The Jaguars have given up the second-fewest rushing yards in the NFL this season with 297 (74.25 per game).
Add all that up and things seem positive for the Jaguars, but you can never count the Eagles out.
So whether you prefer meat and potatoes, or bangers and mash, be ready for a great start to your Sunday morning.

The Jaguars haven't defeated the Eagles in two decades. They'll get it done in their home-away-from-home.

The Eagles are a MASH unit at this point. This game will prove the Jaguars are at a point where they beat the teams they're supposed to beat.

Many parts about the Philadelphia offense are in a bad way, but no part of the Eagles’ game has nose-dived more than third down efficiency.
First two games (2-0 record): The Eagles were 17 of 32 on third down (53.1%).
Last two games (0-2 record): The Eagles were 2 of 21 on third down (9.5%).
The Eagles were 2 of 9 against Chicago and were skunked (0 of 12) against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Rams should provide a blueprint for Jaguars defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile, particularly with Philadelphia’s offensive line so unsettled.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts dropped back nine times on third down (not including plays negated by penalty) and the Rams sent an extra rusher nine times according to charting by the Times-Union. They rushed six on two plays and five on seven plays and four on one play. The results of those plays: Incompletion, incompletion, sack, incompletion, incompletion, 5-yard pass (on third-and-10), incompletion, incompletion and sack.
The Jaguars rank fifth on third down defense (opponents are at 32.6%) and they will bottle up on the Eagles in that situation to move to 4-1.
Season record: 3-1 (Won last week)

Boy, that 7.5-point spread in the Jaguars' favor is scary. The Eagles are battered (RB Saquon Barkley is likely out, among others) and reeling from the sudden retirement of veteran offensive tackle Lane Johnson. Just the recipe to circle the wagons and no one does "us against them" better than a team from Philadelphia. I think the Eagles cover the spread and the Jags squeeze out another gut-buster.
Season record: 2-2 (Lost last week)

The Eagles are a sign of how quick the window closes in the NFL. They were one of the best teams in the league at one point. It seems like the party's over now, though.

From a barrage of injuries to an abrupt retirement, this first month hasn't gone to plan for the Eagles. It's a prime opportunity for the Jaguars to pick up their first victory over Philadelphia since way back in 2006.

At this point, I could probably pick the Jaguars all 17 weeks and get around 12 or 13 wins. I may pick against them at some point, but right now I'm taking them for the fifth week in a row. The Jaguars have a much better offense and a measurably better defense than the Eagles. They've played more games in London, and that makes a difference. If a team isn't familiar with international travel (see the Rams in Australia in Week 1 as an example) and the schedule to get acclimated, it can be tough. Add all that up and the Jaguars seem the better choice to win this game.
