EverBank Stadium is getting a major makeover, but that doesn’t mean the construction is taking a break on game days. Fans heading to a Jaguars regular-season home game this year will notice fewer seats,
ongoing construction and some familiar stadium amenities that are temporarily off-limits.
The upper decks are closed, parts of the stadium are under construction, and getting around may take a little more planning than it did last season. But there is also one concession perk to keep fans happy this season.
Here are six things to know before you head to the stadium this season.
1. Smaller stadium, fewer seats available
If the stadium feels a little less crowded this season, that's by design. EverBank Stadium will seat 42,465 fans, which is 27,308 fewer seats than last year. The entire upper bowl is closed, taking 22,005 seats out of the mix. Some seats in the lower bowl, end zones, club areas and Terrace Suites are also unavailable.
2. Parking and getting around may take some getting used to
Construction is taking over some parking areas, and parts of the stadium are closed while work continues. The good news: You can still walk all the way around the main concourse. The ground level is a different story, so the Jaguars recommend entering through the gate listed on your ticket to make getting around easier.
3. Some familiar stadium favorites are taking a season off
Hoping to hit the pools? Not this year. The Spa Deck and Sky Patio, home to EverBank Stadium's pools, are closed, and Daily’s Place won't be open to fans on game days.
There are also fewer restrooms and concession stands available. Only 54 restrooms compared with 92 last season, and 86 concession stands compared with 160. However, most of the closed facilities are in areas fans can no longer access anyway.
4. Same stadium, different experience
The construction won't stop just because football is being played. Crews are continuing to expand the concourses and build the structure that will eventually support the stadium canopy. More than 100 steel trusses have already gone up, and a fourth grand staircase is expected to open sometime this season.
And there's more to come: The upper decks will be demolished after the season as the Jaguars prepare to play their 2027 home games in Orlando.
5. This is the Jaguars' final Jacksonville season before the big makeover
The Jaguars will play six regular-season games and two preseason games in Jacksonville this season. Their other regular-season home games will be played in London.
Some familiar sights are already gone, too. Touchdown, the 3,100-pound jaguar statue that stood outside Gate 1 for 31 seasons, was removed for construction and is being stored off-site. The statue is expected to return when the renovated stadium opens in 2028.
6. Major perk for fans? $4.99 concessions
The Fan First Favorites lineup includes several classic stadium staples, all priced at $4.99:
- Hot dogs
- Popcorn
- Pretzels
- Nachos
- Candy
- 16.9-ounce bottled water
- 12-ounce select domestic beer
Jaguars President Mark Lamping said the program is part of the team's broader effort to improve the fan experience as the franchise moves toward its planned Stadium of the Future.
