Jacoby Moore has been named executive director of school-based nonprofit Elevate Jacksonville, which provides teacher-mentor relationships and post-secondary preparation.
Moore was director of operations forThe Boselli Foundation and is a Navy veteran, former senior pastor and entrepreneur. He said his new role was "to create meaningful opportunities for students and help them develop the character, confidence and skills they need to thrive."
Moore succeeds four-year leader Carla Austin, who transitions to program director. She decided to focus on staff and student success and development, a spokeswoman said.
"Jacoby brings a unique combination of leadership experience, a heart for mentorship and a deep commitment to serving young people and families,”
she said.
