The Jacksonville Jaguars' public enemy No. 1 left the game on Oct. 18 at London's Wembley Stadium with a second-quarter injury.
Houston Texans
linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair, who has been among the most hated opponents by Jaguars fans since his late hit to Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence in 2024, left the game after the Jaguars tied it 7-7 on Lawrence's 27-yard TD pass to Bhayshul Tuten. NFL Network reported that Al-Shaair was being evaluated for a concussion. He was taken to the blue sideline tent, then went to the locker room.
Before the injury, Al-Shaair, an eighth-year pro from Florida Atlantic, had two tackles and two assists. He was replaced by Wade Woodaz, a rookie from Clemson.
Lawrence didn't play the rest of the 2024 season after the hit by Al-Shaair,
missing the last five games. During the Jaguars' 17-10 victoryat home last year, the two had to be separated in the second half, prompting Lawrence to say after the game: "We're not going to get bullied. … It was fun to be able to punch back and stand up in those moments, where it's like, ‘All right, you want to throw that punch? We’re here.'”
