Pace Center for Girls named Kim Simon, who has 15 years of nonprofit experience, as executive director of its Jacksonville location.
Pace provides education, counseling, training and advocacy for middle and high school girls at 21 centers in Florida and Georgia.
Simon most recently led Yoga 4 Change, which works with area underserved groups who have experienced high levels of stress or trauma. She holds the highest senior yoga teaching credential and led yoga and "mindfulness practices" at Pace's Jacksonville and Clay County locations.
"Kim’s experience growing trauma-informed programs and her connection to Pace give her a strong foundation for leading Pace Jacksonville forward," said Aggie Pappas, Pace chief program officer. "Her leadership comes
at an important time as we look to build on the center’s impact and create more opportunities for girls across Northeast Florida."
