For teams across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida high school football, it's official now.
Week 1 begins Aug. 21 with the first complete set of gridiron matchups, and this time, the games count for both teams in the Florida High School Athletic Association and in the Sunshine State Athletic Association. Aug. 14 games were preseason kickoff classics for FHSAA schools, and thus didn't count in the standings for these programs.
