Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Travon Walker was named the NFLPA Community MVP for Week 2.
He teamed up with Blessings in a Backpack and Gator Bowl Charities to provide food for local youth recently. Walker donated $5,000 and helped pack 500 bags of food that included handwritten notes with the goal of combating food insecurity in Northeast Florida.
“What they do for the kids, they do a great job in the community. That’s why I wanted to partner with them again, and I think this time went even better,” Walker said. “Seems like we just continuously keep growing. Giving back to the community is what it’s all about.”

Walker has been active in Jacksonville and his hometown of Thomaston, GA since getting drafted in 2022. He and his foundation have sponsored holiday food drives and back to school events in both cities. He also puts on an annual youth camp to allow kids the opportunity to learn and interact with NFL players.
In 2024, Walker hosted a “Huddle Up For the Holidays” where he sponsored haircuts and manicures for youth in Jacksonville. They also gifted custom throwback jerseys and Air Force 1 sneakers to the kids during the event.
His knack for community outreach is rooted in his upbringing. He’s always been passionate about giving back, and he has the platform and resources to do so in a major way.
“That’s something that I always wanted to do growing up, if I was ever presented the opportunity to be able to give back,” Walker said. “It was just me realizing the extent to how far I could really take it.”
The Jaguars will take on the Denver Broncos this weekend as Walker and his teammates try to remain undefeated on the season.
