A Bristol Township teen has been charged with making a threat that closed two Neshaminy School District schools Oct. 1.
The unidentified juvenile is a 14-year-old boy and was taken into custody on Thursday evening, Middletown Police Lt. Stephen Forman said Thursday afternoon.
The teen does not currently attend any Neshaminy schools, but he sometimes hangs out with kids who attend Neshaminy schools, Forman added.
The teen was arrested by Bucks County Juvenile probation and remanded to the county's juvenile detention center, Forman said. He is facing unspecified charges as a juvenile. It is unknown why the teen allegedly made the threat.

The district received a Safe to Say tip on Wednesday directed at Maple Point Middle School.

Neshaminy closed Maple Point and Core Creek Elementary School, which are located on the same campus off Langhorne-Yardley Road, on Thursday morning out of an "abundance of caution,' the district said in a statement on its website.
Students and staff at those two schools will engage in asynchronous instruction Thursday. All other schools in the district remained open Thursday..
