Looking for a way to embrace the fall weather while enjoying the Bucks County countryside?
Pick-your-own experiences and other fall farm activities provide the chance to be outdoors, take in the scenery and bring home a bit of the autumn harvest.
And while several crops are more limited this year because of the late April freeze that severely impacted fruit farmers across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York, local growers are striving to offer the many of the same fall fun experiences their visitors have enjoyed in previous years.
Pumpkins picking and flower cutting are still being offered across most farms.
So, grab your favorite flannel, throw on
a pair of boots and head out to one of these Bucks County farms, orchards or pumpkin patches for a fun day out with family and friends.
AGA Farms, Perkasie
Pick-your-own: Pumpkins.
Pick out the perfect pumpkin, then explore their two corn mazes or take a scenic 30-minute tractor-drawn wagon ride through AGA’s 100-acre farm, taking in the crop fields, ponds and autumn leaves. Their store offers fall décor, plus straw bales, corn shocks, local honey and alpaca outer wear.
Want to make a day of it? This family-owned farm is home to Aviator Vineyard & Winery and The Preserve, a 60-acre disc golf course with challenges for every skill level.
The disc golf course, pumpkin patch, hayride and corn mazes are open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting. The winery is open Saturdays noon to 8 p.m. and Sundays noon to 6 p.m.

Charlann Farms, Yardley
Pick-your-own: Pumpkins.
Fall Festival is underway at Charlann Farms every weekend 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Oct. 26, which includes hayrides out to the pumpkin patch, a corn maze and festival activities, such as the corn pit, jump pad, obstacle course, pumpkin bowling, barrel cart rides, pumpkin painting and games.
Food and beverages are to be available for purchase from a rotating lineup of local food trucks, breweries and distilleries.
Admission to the festival starts at $14.99, and timed tickets may be purchased online. Pony rides are an additional $10 (cash only). For those just looking to visit the pumpkin patch, free hayrides are available and festival admission is not required.

Hellerick’s Family Farm, Plumsteadville
Pick-your-own: Pumpkins, blackberries and flowers.
Hellerick’s is open daily for a variety of pick-your-own experiences throughout the year. Reservations are required for U-pick crops and can be made online.
While you’re there, enjoy a day of outdoor fun at Hellerick’s Fall Festival. Admission includes access to their pumpkin fields, farm obstacle course, wagon rides, corn maze, farm animals, giant corn chute slides, tractor tire playground and more than 50 family-friendly activities.
Looking for even more fun? For an additional fee, check out Hellerick’s Aerial Adventure Park, Silo Climbing Wall, Goat Yoga or Goat Experience, plus the 18-hole miniature golf course.
Reservations are strongly recommended and may be booked online. Packages are available for those looking to save on multiple activities.

None Such Farm & Market, Furlong
Pick-your-own: Pumpkins.
None Such is hosting its fall festival the first four weekends in October from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is offering pumpkin picking, wagon rides through the farm, food, family-fun activities and live music. They also have cornstalks, straw bales, gourds, ornamental corn and winter squash for sale. Parking and admission are free, and leashed dogs are welcome.
After you’re done picking out your pumpkin, take a drive across the street to their market for fresh meats, produce, baked goods, deli sandwiches and prepared meals.

Penn-Vermont Fruit Farm, Bedminster
Pick-your-own: Pumpkins and apples.
Penn-Vermont is currently offering pick-your-own apples, while supplies last, Mondays through Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The pumpkin patch is to be open with free hayrides throughout October on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. While you’re there, check out their market for cider, apples, peppers, squash, honey, maple syrup, pickles, jams, spaghetti sauce, salsa and more.

Shady Brook Farm, Yardley
Pick-your-own: Pumpkins and flowers.
Fall Fest at Shady Brook Farm includes access to the pumpkin patch and flower gardens. In addition, there are autumn activities for all ages to enjoy with wagon rides, bonfires, a Philly-themed America 250 corn maze, obstacle course, inflatables, cow train, glow garden, jumping pillow, barnyard animals, sports zone, food, drinks, live music and more.
At night, take a wagon ride through Eerie Illuminations family-friendly Halloween light show or find your way through the Moonlit Maze. And for those looking for more of a fright, the Haunted Barn and Alien Invasion are also up and running.
Ticket prices vary depending on date and time, but you may save by purchasing them in advance online.
Because of the late April frost, apple-picking isn't available this fall, but the market will be selling plenty of apple products such as apple cider, apple cider doughnuts, applesauce apple butter and more.

Solebury Orchards, Solebury
Pick-your-own: Pumpkins and flowers. Apples are limited.
Because of the late-April freeze, Solebury Orchards doesn't have as many apples on their trees for picking this season. They have, however, sourced apples from New York to stock their market and are also to have bins of apples out in the orchard rows. Reservations are required and may be made online for apple picking on Saturdays and Sundays in September and October. And wagon rides are still being offered on the weekends.
The cutting garden is currently in bloom with dahlias, zinnias and other varieties. In addition, they’ve added some new activities this year, including Craft Sundays, story time, an apple scavenger hunt and a new pumpkin patch.
Afterward, stop into the market to shop for apple cider, cider ice and cider doughnuts.

Solly Farm, Warminster
Pick-your-own: Pumpkins.
Solly Farm is open for pumpkin picking on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and hayrides are offered on weekends for a fee. Their market sells pies, sweet breads, cookies, cider doughnuts and other baked goods, as well as a large selection of fall décor, including mums, corn stalks, hay bales, ornamental corn and more.
Because of the late April frost, apple-picking isn't available this fall.

Styer Orchard, Langhorne
Pick-your-own: Apples and pumpkins.
Take a hayride out to their orchards for apple and pumpkin picking. Then stop into their market for pies, doughnuts and other baked goods, and while you’re there, grab some breakfast or lunch.
Admission is free, but guests are encouraged to bring their own bags. Reusable bags and boxes are to be available for purchase.

Tabora Farm & Orchard, Chalfont
Pick-your-own: Apples, pears and pumpkins.
Take a hayride to Tabora’s Rustic Valley Orchard to enjoy some apple picking or find the perfect pumpkin at the patch. Open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Stop into the market afterwards for fresh baked goods, deli items, coffee and seasonal drinks, such as a brown sugar maple latte or steamed apple cider.

Winding Brook Farm, Warrington
Pick-your-own: Pumpkins.
Winding Brook’s pumpkin patch is open on weekends through Oct. 11 and then daily starting Oct. 16. Experience a daytime hayride that stops at a pumpkin patch farther out in the farm meadows. The hayride costs $6 per person, and kids 2 and younger are free.
For added fun, bring the family out Saturday or Sunday for hayrides, a corn maze and a hay bale maze. Check online for their schedule of entertainment online each weekend in October.
And for those looking for more of a thrill, venture over Friday or Saturday night for their haunted attractions: Night Chills Haunted Hayride, The Haunted Hay Maze and The Corn Walk of Horror.
