The Nov. 3 midterm elections are just weeks away as the race for control of Congress is in its final month. The main contention, of course, continues to be if Republicans will maintain control of Congress.
As of the latest polls, Democrats appear to hold a midterm advantage nationally.
The battle for control of Congress is becoming one of the most closely watched political fights of President Donald Trump
's second term.Republicans currently hold unified power in Washington, controlling the White House and both chambers of Congress. That could change Nov. 3, when voters decide all 435 seats in the House of Representatives, 35 Senate seats and 39 gubernatorial races nationwide.
If Democrats win either the House or Senate, it could significantly complicate Trump's ability to advance major legislation and Republican priorities. A flip of both chambers would reshape the political landscape in Washington, opening the door to aggressive oversight investigations, subpoena battles — and renewed talk of impeachment.
Here's what the latest polls, betting market odds and election forecasts show in the races that could decide control of Congress.
