The U.S. Marshals Service has apprehended the man wanted for harassing people in Philadelphia last week while wearing a killer doll style Halloween mask.
Zymire Hughes, 22, was taken into custody in Las Vegas, Nevada Aug. 25 on an outstanding warrant charging him with aggravated assault, terrorists threats and simple assault.
Hughes allegedly chased a jogger in Center City while wearing a "Chucky" mask and asked, "Do you want to die?" The woman suffered injuries as a result of fleeing, police said. Before approaching the jogger, Hughes allegedly approached more than a dozen people in Center City on Aug. 15.
Police reportedly believe Hughes' stunt was an attempt at generating social media fame.
During the investigation, the marshals developed information
Hughes had fled the state and may be headed to Nevada.
The Marshals Task Force developed information Hughes was hiding at an apartment complex in Southeast Las Vegas. A surveillance operation observed him in the complex and he was arrested Tuesday night. He is awaiting extradition.
