Middletown police are investigating an overnight jewelry store burglary that occurred this weekend.
Officers responded to Michael’s Jewelers at approximately 8 a.m. Sept. 27 in the 1300 block of East Lincoln Highway where they found damage involving a forced-entry burglary at the store.
The store entrance and multiple jewelry display cases were damaged and a “significant” amount of jewelry was stolen. An exact dollar-amount of the loss remains under investigation, police said in a release.
No arrests had been made as of Sunday afternoon.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area during the early
