The Trenton Ironhawks officially unveiled their home and away uniforms ahead of their home opener set for next month at the CURE Insurance Arena.
The ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders is scheduled to take to the ice against Adirondack on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. at their new home rink in Trenton.
Trenton is to have a white uniform and a blue one, both featuring the team crest on the chest and an alternate Ironhawks logo stitched onto each shoulder, depicting an talon gripping a hockey puck.
Fans can have a look at the jerseys on Friday, Oct. 2 during the Hockey Ice Breaker event and Ironhawks Open House at CURE Insurance Arena, featuring The College
of New Jersey and William Paterson University. Doors are to open at 6 p.m.
Individual single-game tickets, including tickets for the home opener, were going on sale Wednesday, Sept. 16 at noon at trentonironhawks.com/tickets and on the Ticketmaster website. Prices are starting at $25 per ticket.
“The excitement continues to build for our inaugural season and we’re now one step closer withour individual game-day tickets going on sale on Wednesday,” said Bob Ohrablo, president ofthe Ironhawks, in a news release.
“Demand for season membership has been incredible and we expect a similar response for our individual games. We look forward to welcoming hockey fans from across New Jersey, Philadelphia, and New York to Trenton to experience the future stars today.”
The ECHL announced the introduction of the Trenton Ironhawks in January.
The team's arrival marks the first time Trenton will have a hockey team since the Trenton Titans ceased operations ahead of the 2013-14 season. They're to play in the Eastern Conference with a 72-game schedule.
