DOYLESTOWN — Senior quarterback Josh George threw three touchdown passes, two of them to senior tight end Liam Laphen, in Central Bucks West’s season-opening 36-7 win over Easton on Friday night at War Memorial Field.
Easton, which went 14-1 and won the District 11 Class 6A championship last fall before losing to eventual state champ La Salle in the state quarterfinals, only returns three starters from its 2025 squad.
The Bucks ended up 7-4 a year ago, falling to visiting Neshaminy in the first round of the District One 6A playoffs and bring back a talented core.
Easton, which was 11-2 in ’24 and won 25 games over the past two seasons, prevailed in the teams' 2025 meeting by a 26-20 score.
