A suspended Newtown attorney allegedly stole more than $155,000 from an elderly client and the estate of a deceased person to pay for personal expenses including rent and online gambling debts.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office announced 14 felony charges Oct. 23 against Andrew C. Neville, 40, of Pennsauken, New Jersey, who owned Neville Law PLLC, who turned himself in Friday.
Newtown police and Bucks County Detectives opened an investigation earlier this month after receiving a report from a 71-year-old woman who discovered money missing from her late mother's estate who Neville was hired to oversee in 2024, according to a probable cause affidavit.

After consolidating the estate's funds into an account Neville allegedly made 46 unauthorized
withdrawals and transfers totalling $113,150 between January and May 2025.
During the investigation, authorities found a second victim, a 76-year-old man, who signed a general durable power of attorney in 2024 naming Neville as his agent, the affidavit said.
Neville then allegedly added himself to the victim’s bank account and carried out 26 unauthorized transactions for $43,631.78 between July 2024 and May 2025. As of June, 2025, the victim had only $26.21 left in the account, the affidavit alleges.
Earlier this year the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania transferred Neville's law license to an inactive status, according to the DA’s office.
In an interview with authorities last month, Neville allegedly admitted stealing the money, stating that the thefts occurred during a period when he was experiencing medical and substance abuse issues and an online gambling addiction.
To date, none of the $156,781.78 in stolen funds have been returned, authorities said.
Neville turned himself into authorities Friday and he was arraigned before District Judge John Galloway on charges including financial exploitation of an older adult or care-dependent person, forgery, and multiple theft-related offenses.
He was transferred to Bucks County Correctional Center in lieu of $250,000 bail, and had no legal representation listed as of Friday, according to the public court docket.
