A fourth business has confirmed that it will remain open at the Neshaminy Mall, the Bensalem shopping center slated for closing and the start of demolition before the end of the year.
The Jean Madeline Aveda Institute is not among the remaining businesses that will be closing in anticipation of the upcoming redevelopment of the 91-acre property, school spokesman Sam Lelko confirmed in an email.
A new school location within the redeveloped property is also planned, Lelko said. Jean Madeline also has campuses in Queens Village and University City in Philadelphia.
“Jean Madeline Institute is expected to remain operational throughout the process,” Lelko added. “Classes, student services, and our student salon services will continue, with access to the school
maintained during construction.”
The school will share additional information once plans and timelines are finalized, Lelko said.
Jean Madeline is one of roughly 15 businesses that are still operating in the mall with most receiving notices they must vacate by Oct. 31.
While much of the 58-year-old mall is expected to be impacted, Paramount Realty andEdgewood Properties, have not responded to requests for comment or submitted development plans since purchasing the property in 2024 for $27.5 million.
Bensalem officials have already confirmed that the AMC-24 Movie Theater, and popular anchor stores Boscov’s and Barnes and Noble are part of the redevelopment plan.
