Labor Day is approaching, bringing with it the unofficial end of summer.
Observed annually on the first Monday of September, Labor Day celebrates labor activists and the achievements of American workers.
In 2026, the federal holiday falls on Sept. 7.
And whether you are sad to say goodbye to warm summer days or look forward to the crisp fall weather, Labor Day weekend provides some extra time to get together with friends and family at backyard barbecues, take a road trip, explore outdoor activities at local parks or enjoy the fun festivities of events hosted throughout the area.
Here are a few events and ideas to help you make the most of this holiday weekend.
60th Annual Polish American Family Festival & Country Fair
Celebrating Polish heritage, traditions and culture, this yearly event attracts tens of
thousands of visitors each year. Enjoy live entertainment across two outdoor stages, including musical performances, folk dancing and historical reenactments, as well as a variety of Polish foods, a vendors and crafters village, special exhibits and amusement rides. Tickets can be purchased online or in-person.

The Bucks County Renaissance Faire
Returning for its third year, the festival features a variety of traditional renaissance fair activities — such as role-playing games, ax-throwing, archery and blacksmithing demonstrations — as well as family activities, professional entertainment, costume contests, Tileworks tours, and more than 100 artisan vendors offering food, beer, crafts, jewelry, fantasy-inspired clothing, mythical creatures, magic and more. Advance tickets are strongly recommended and available online.

Art in the Orchard
After a 7-year hiatus, Manoff Market and Cidery is bringing back its open-air art festival to the orchard, featuring the work of local artists, live music and drinks in the cider garden. Parking is $10.

Shady Brook Farm's Summer unWINEd

Sesame Place Labor Day Bash
Celebrate Labor Day weekend with your favorite furry friends, patriotic meet and greets, and Patriotic Dining and Sweet Treats with Elmo and friends, parades, shows, family-friendly rides and water attractions. For those visiting on Sept. 6, the park will light up the sky with a special fireworks display at 8 p.m.
