Retro arcade games, craft food and drinks will soon be available under one roof, bringing a new family-friendly experience to Bristol Borough.
Coming to the former Naked Brewing taproom location on Mill Street, Level Up Arcade+Bar was the idea of one local father who teamed up with his kids to create a safe, fun and welcoming place where people of all ages could get together.
“It’s totally a dream and something that at times felt like it would never happen,” said Chris Kinsey, who lives in Richboro with his three boys.
“It’s something that my kids have been involved in. And it’s been awesome seeing their little brains work and creating a space for them that we can share with other families and their kids — a place where people can eat, and drink
and have a good time.”
He said he aims to open his arcade and bar by Thanksgiving.
Level Up will feature more than 30 pinball machines and arcade games, including the 10-player strategy game, “Killer Queen.” It will also have a gaming nook with couches and old-school Nintendo and Sega consoles, Kinsey said.
Thanks to a love of cooking inspired by his late mother, Kinsey is developing a full kitchen menu with appetizers, salads, handhelds and shareables, like street corn dip, smashburgers, beer-battered cauliflower, The Daily Dog, hand-cut fries, wings, tacos and dishes inspired by his mom, like Nan’s Mac+Cheese and Nan’s Meatballs+Sauce.
He also plans to include vegan options, as well as a kids menu.
Craft beers — from local breweries like Conshohocken Brewing Co., Space Cadet and Broken Goblet — alongside cocktails, mocktails and wine will be served at the downstairs and upstairs bars. Level Up will also feature a gourmet milkshake bar.
The space will provide table and bar seating on both floors and on the outdoor patio.
A private room with a large projection screen will be available for parties and hosting special events, including family movie days and gaming competitions.
