Four juveniles are facing charges for allegedly firing a pellet gun at another group of juveniles in Bensalem.
The incident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. Sept. 5 in the Neshaminy Valley section of Bensalem, where police were called for a report of a group of juveniles struck with projectiles fired from a pellet gun.
The incident appears to have been random. An unknown number of the Bensalem juveniles suffered minor injuries in the incident, police said.
The investigation found that four juveniles from outside the township were traveling in a dark-colored Honda Pilot and shot an Orbeez gun at juveniles who they allegedly didn’t know, police said. The nonlethal weapons fire small water-absorbing gel beds.
Police were able to identify the suspects
using a combination of surveillance footage, intersection cameras and license plate readers, according to a Crimewatch post.
The parents of the suspects were contacted and have cooperated with the investigation, police said.
Bensalem police are not releasing additional information including the ages of the suspects or victims or where the suspects live. It's also unknown what charges they face but they will be charged as juveniles, police confirmed.
