SEPTA commuters who take the Yardley train to West Trenton may have to take the bus starting Aug. 1, as work is scheduled to take place on the West Trenton Bridge.
From Aug. 1-14, SEPTA is offering bus services from the Yardley to the West Trenton Station. The train is still to operate both ways from Yardley to Center City Philadelphia.
On Aug. 1-2, along with Aug. 8-9, when traveling inbound to Center City, the shuttle bus is scheduled to depart West Trenton 14 minutes earlier than the train typically does.
After the train arrives at Yardley it's to leave within 3 minutes of the bus's arrival.
On the same dates outbound of Center City, the shuttle bus is to depart Yardley
to West Trenton approximately 2 minutes after the train arrives. SEPTA recommends adding approximately 15-20 minutes to travel time.
On weekdays between Aug. 3-7, plus Aug. 10-14, the shuttle bus from West Trenton is to depart to Yardley approximately 17 minutes earlier than the train typically departs. The train is to depart approximately 5 minutes after the bus arrives.
When returning to Yardley, the shuttle bus is to leave for West Trenton approximately 5 minutes after the train arrives. Because of this change in service, both the 6380 train and the 6340 train aren't to run.
