While girls soccer isn't known for producing high-scoring games, that can change in a hurry when these talented forwards are on the field. When you need a goal or an assist, these are the players that teams across Bucks County can count upon. Here are 32 of this season's top forwards in the Bucks County area.

Mia Forney, Central Bucks East, senior
Forney was already considered one of the top players in the region before her junior year. Now, she is widely regarded as the top player in the state, ranked No. 1 in PA by PrepSoccer.com and among the best in the country. Forney tallied 21 goals and 14 assists last season, after delivering 23 goals and 18 assists the previous year, earning
first-team All-State and SOL Colonial Player of the Year honors both years. Over the summer, Forney was selected to Italy’s U-17 Women’s National Team camp and played three games in the UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship. Before that, she was leading the Patriots to their first state championship. In the district playoffs, she scored the game-winner in overtime of the Patriots’ second-round game, after scoring in regulation in the 2-1 win. In the PIAA playoffs, she had two goals and three assists in four games. This season, the University of Maryland commit has a goal or assist in seven games, contributing six goals and seven assists.
Taylor Roumy, CB East, senior
Helping the Patriots win their first state title last year, there was rarely a game where Roumy was kept off the scoreboard, as she totaled 23 goals in 24 games. She scored all three goals in the Patriots’ win over Seneca Valley in the PIAA 4A quarterfinals, and she had two goals and an assist in the championship game. A creative and shifty wide forward who never seems to tire or slow down, Roumy can carve up defensive lines or take on defenders 1v1. The University of Richmond recruit hasn’t slowed down this season, tallying five goals and two assists.
Carey Brooks, Gwynedd Mercy, junior
The Monarchs’ offensive standout burst onto the scene as a freshman when she led the Monarchs with 11 goals. Sophomore year, she picked up where she left off, starting the season with seven goals in the team’s first seven games. She was stellar against AACA opponents, contributing three goals and three assists in wins against Merion Mercy, Villa Joseph Marie and Mount St. Joseph, helping the Monarchs to their first league title in 19 seasons. She scored the game-winning goals in the team’s final league games against Villa Maria and Mount St. Joseph, both 1-0 wins, to secure the championship. She is leading the Monarchs with six goals and three assists this season.
Ashley Brown, Dock Mennonite, senior
Already Dock’s most accomplished soccer player, Brown continues to add to her legacy. She became the program’s all-time leading scorer as a sophomore, when she netted 52 goals. She scored her 100th career goal last season and began her senior year with 121 career goals. Brown led the Pioneers to two state championships as a freshman and sophomore, and is more motivated than ever this year, after last season came to an unexpected end against rival Faith Christian in the district championship game. In the Pioneers’ matchup against FC this season, Brown scored all three goals to secure a 3-0 win.
Mattie Williams, CB East, senior
Williams made an immediate impact on the Patriots after transferring from Lansdale Catholic last year. A dynamic player, Williams doesn’t need to score to be a game changer, due to her non-stop hustle and physical play that is disruptive to opposing defenders. Her quickness and ability to move both on- and off-the-ball and create space and separation have created numerous scoring opportunities for the Patriots. A Villanova University commit, Williams has three goals and one assist this season.
Dakota Wizeman, Palisades, senior, forward
Athletic and powerful, Wizeman is a standout athlete who also wrestles and plays flag football for the Pirates. She did her best work on the soccer field last year, where she tallied 18 goals and five assists, helping the Pirates to the District 11 Class 2A semifinals. She is one of the top goal scorers in the Colonial League and one who commands the attention of opposing defenders. She scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Moravian Academy this season.
Addison Doyle, Abington, senior
A team captain and competent leader, Doyle will power the Ghosts’ offense. She is a four-year varsity performer who also plays lacrosse for Abington. She scored the go-ahead goal for Abington in a win over Hatboro-Horsham this season.
Paige Savage, Archbishop Wood, sophomore
Savage made an immediate impact as a freshman, playing a big role as the Vikings’ captured their first state title. She contributed seven goals and three assists, including the game-winner in a regular season overtime win against eventual-PCL champion St. Hubert’s. She was one of only six freshmen to earn All-Catholic honors. Her speed and ability to drive to the net have given Savage a big role on a team with big expectations. This season, she recorded two goals and one assist in a win over PCL rival Little Flower.
Adrianna Posten, Bensalem, senior
Posten led the Owls in scoring last season, tallying 10 goals and four assists. A smart player and natural leader, Posten has been a leader on offense the past three years, and that should continue for her senior season. Last year, she scored a late second-half goal against William Tennent to secure a 2-1 win, and she had three goals in a win over New Hope-Solebury.
Riley O’Halloran, Council Rock South, senior
O’Halloran’s career with the Golden Hawks has been marked by clutch goals and game-winning drives. Last season was no exception. Memorably, O’Halloran scored the game-winner against Pennridge to give CR South its first win over the Rams since 2010.
Keagan Terry, Council Rock North, senior
A first-team All-SOL Patriot selection last season, Terry is one of the Indians’ top scoring threats, whether she’s creating for her teammates or taking the ball to the net herself. A four-year starter, Terry is poised under pressure and driven to succeed. She has a goal or assist in three of the Indians’ first five wins.
Isabel Diaz, Council Rock North, senior
The four-year varsity player and Dickinson College commit brings leadership and versatility to the field. Last year, she scored the Indians’ lone goal in a district playoff game against perennial contender Conestoga. This season, she has three goals in the CR North’s first five games.
Sarina Igval, Council Rock North, junior
Igval led the Indians in goals and assists last year, and she is continuing to do so again this season, netting one goal and two assists in a 3-0 SOL Patriot win against Neshaminy, with six goals in the first five games. Strong and speedy, Igval can get past opposing defenses at will, and has the technical skills and creativity to produce a multitude of scoring opportunities. She was a first-team All-SOL Patriot and first-team ECNL All-Conference selection last year.
Charlie Hawn, George School, sophomore
Both technically skilled and creative on the ball, Hawn gives the Cougars a versatile scoring threat from anywhere on the field. Athletic and highly competitive, Hawn also works well in the midfield. Hawn, one of several young talents on the rebuilding team, is poised for a breakout season.
Hailey Sarzynski, Conwell-Egan, senior
The Eagles’ rookie of the year as freshman, Sarzynski had continued to grow and excel on the soccer field for the Eagles, while also playing a key role on the flag football team. A dynamic playmaker, Sarzynski is tough to beat on the attack as she keeps her defenders guessing with her creative play and in-game adjustments. Technically skilled, she is also a smart player who sees the field well and delivers tough passes to teammates. She has committed to play Division II soccer at Thomas Jefferson University.
Danielle Steinbach, Lansdale Catholic, junior
Steinbach earned second-team All-Catholic honors as a sophomore. A three-year starter, she is fearless and aggressive when going for the ball, never shying away from contact or backing down to defenders. She should lead the Crusaders’ offense against this year.
Maggie Rink, Germantown Academy, sophomore
Her strong freshman season resulted in second-team All-Inter Ac honors for the striker, who showed a penchant for scoring right off the bat. In one early-season game, she tallied three goals and one assist in a comeback win against Lower Moreland. She finished her freshman season tied for the team lead in scoring. Fast and fearless while being technically sound, Rink is a competitor who leaves it all on the field. This season, she had two goals and one assist in a win over Germantown Friends, as well as goals in wins over Mt. Saint Joseph and Peddie School.
Piper Loney, Germantown Academy, senior
Blink and you might miss her – Loney’s speed is a nightmare for defenders, backed by her All-State nod in the 100-meter dash and 4x400-meter relay last year. A first-team All-Inter Ac selection last season, Loney should lead the attack for a young but highly talented Patriots’ team. With her quickness, agility and footwork, Loney can weave her way past defenders and set up scoring opportunities. Last year, she scored three of GA’s four goals in a win over Lansdale Catholic.
Gwen Marston, Harry S. Truman, junior
After two strong seasons, scoring six goals as a freshman and sophomore, Marston was ready to take on an even bigger role this year. One of those roles is as team captain, where her game smarts and field vision help create positive plays for her teammates. A versatile player who is a strong defender and also plays in the midfield, coach Brian Gilbert anticipated Marston could be the Tigers’ leading goal scorer this season, and she’s met and exceeded those preseason expectations. Marston leads the team with five goals, several of which have resulted in major milestones for the rebuilding Tigers. She scored the lone goal in the Tigers’ 1-0 win over Bensalem, which was Truman’s first SOL Patriot win since 2015, and she had one goal in the Tigers’ third win of the season over Philadelphia Academy Charter, the most wins for the team since 2013. In addition, Marston scored the Tigers’ lone goal against defending state champion Faith Christian, and she had two scores in a win over MaST Charter.
Grace Cornett, Villa Joseph Marie, junior
Cornett had a big sophomore season, scoring six goals and dishing out 13 assists. Her biggest goals of the year came in the District One 2A championship game, where she scored twice in the 3-2 win over Springfield. With the graduation of leading scorer Taylor Houtz, Cornett will be called upon even more this season.
Julia Purvy, Souderton, senior
Purvy has been a key to Souderton’s recent turnaround, with the ability to play every position and take on any role needed by her team. Playing with explosive speed and purposefulness, she has excelled at outside back and striker, and helped the Indians earn their first district playoff berth since 2019. She can play on and off the ball and is quick to strike when she sees a scoring opportunity. A standout basketball player her first two years at Souderton, she opted to focus entirely on soccer, and that decision paid off, as she secured a commitment to Division I Saint Joseph’s University. She scored both goals in Souderton’s 2-1 win over CB West.
Lily Heron, Souderton, senior
Determined and relentless, Heron is Souderton’s most imposing scoring threat, as the 5-foot-8 striker has the strength and agility to beat defenders. She has multiple goals in numerous games, including a hat trick against Cheltenham last season, but she’s just as good at setting up her teammates for success. Strong both on and off the bell, she works well in space and creates opportunities and advantages for the offense. A Division I La Salle commit, she scored two goals in Souderton’s 3-1 win over Pennsbury.
Hannah Beckett, Souderton, junior
Beckett has been an impact player since she was a freshman and led the team in goals. She continued to make big plays last season, such as scoring a game-winning goal in double OT against North Penn. Beckett’s field vision and precision passing set up her teammates for success, and her aggressiveness when on the ball gives opposing defenders fits. She has been a key to Souderton’s strong start this season, scoring a goal in a 3-1 win over Pennridge, the Indians’ first since 2019, and she netted both goals in a 2-0 win over Upper Dublin.
Madeline Cox, Upper Moreland, senior
A four-year starter and two-year captain, Cox is a strong leader who is also a top scoring threat for the Golden Bears.
Shylee Williams, Quakertown, junior
A track star and sprinter who has medaled in the long jump, Williams’ speed and power make her tough to stop on the soccer field. While she is a leading scorer for the Panthers, tallying four goals and one assist in the team’s first five games, she is also a skilled defender. She excels at creating space around defenders, getting the ball to her teammates in traffic, and getting downfield in a hurry to slow down the opposing offense.
Maya James, Quakertown, junior
James was an offensive catalyst for the Panthers as a sophomore, especially in big situations. She had two goals and one assist in a 3-1 win over Hatboro-Horsham, and three goals in a 5-1 win over Saucon Valley. Strong on the attack, James has the skills and persistence to deliver a goal in tight spaces while surrounded by defenders. This season, she is leading the Panthers with five goals and three assists in their first five games.
Mikayla Loux, Pennridge, junior
Loux had an impressive sophomore season, leading the Rams in goals, including the game-winner in the district semifinals. This year, she has a goal or an assist in five of the Rams’ first six games, totaling five assists and two goals.
Annaliese Marnien, North Penn, sophomore
Marnien had a breakout freshman season as she led the Knights in scoring. Stepping up in big moments and tense situations, she had several game-winning goals, including both goals in a 2-0 victory against Bensalem that ended a six-game winless streak for North Penn. She netted the Knights’ lone goals in 1-0 wins over Gwynedd Mercy and Spring-Ford. This year, she has continued her clutch scoring, delivering a game-winning goal against Garnet Valley, and a key goal in a 2-1 win over state finalist CB South.
Charlotte Manley, CB South, junior
As a sophomore on a veteran team, Manley played a huge role in helping the Titans to the PIAA state championship game. She scored five goals during the district playoffs and two more in the state tournament. Manley secured a Division I commitment to the University of South Florida before beginning her junior season. Strong and unafraid, she can break through defensive lines and get in front of the net with her elite speed. Manley is involved in most of the Titans scoring opportunities, which also include passing to her teammates or capitalizing on their feeds. This season, she has two assists in a win over rival CB West, and she scored three goals, with assists from two teammates, in a win over Lansdale Catholic.
Leah Kaczmarek, Neshaminy, senior
Kaczmarek had a strong season last year, contributing three goals and five assists. This season, she has already surpassed last year’s goal total, scoring five goals in Neshaminy’s first six games, along with three assists. The Shippensburg University commit is quick to the ball, dangerous around the box and strong in transition.
Sofia Gorski, Pennsbury, senior
A four-year varsity player, Gorski is a team captain this year, with a focus on putting in the work both in practice as well as games. The Falcons’ go-to player on corners, she is also great at crossing the ball in front. Gorski has four goals and two assists in the first six games.
Lylah Day, Council Rock South, junior
Playing with poise and composure, Day can make some of the toughest scores look easy. As pretty as her passes look, Day isn’t afraid to put her speed and aggression to work to take on defenders 1v1, a battle that she will usually win. In her junior year, Day is having a breakout season and has become an offensive centerpiece. She has six goals and one assist in the Golden Hawks first seven games, including the game-winner in a 1-0 win against division rival Neshaminy.
