The weather this summer has brought everything from extreme heat to thunderstorms, and it looks like more wet weather is in the forecast for Bucks County.
On Aug. 3, as of 10 a.m., a flash flood warning is in effect in southeastern Bucks County
until 1:15 p.m., and a flood watch is in effect until 11 p.m. for the entire county, according to the National Weather Service. There is also a chance of thunderstorms between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.During the day on Tuesday, the rainy weather will hold off with sun in the forecast but rain will possibly resume with a 20% chance of showers after 2 a.m. on Wednesday.
Wednesday, the wet weather will pick up again with a 60% chance of rain and possible thunderstorms
after 2 p.m. After 8 p.m., thunderstorms and rain will possibly return, but it is expected to be less than a tenth of an inch unless there is a thunderstorm.
After 2 p.m. on Thursday, there is a 50% chance the thunderstorms and rain will resume through 2 a.m. on Friday. Friday will likely see a similar forecast with a 50% chance after 2 p.m., with showers expected between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. on Saturday.
The rain is forecasted to continue during the weekend.
As of Aug. 3, at 10 a.m., the Delaware River has risen by .93 ft. due to the rain and is forecasted to rise up to two feet at 8 p.m. on Monday, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. That is the highest the river is expected to rise through Aug. 6 and does not constitute a flood.
