Halloween is just around the corner.
From family-friendly events to bone-chilling haunted Halloween attractions, across Bucks County, there are a ton of ways to celebrate the spooky season over these next few weeks.
So, whether you’re looking for fun or fright, here are some festivities you don’t want to miss.
Scarecrows in the Village
More than 100 scarecrows, handmade by local residents and organizations, are on display at Peddlers Village in Lahaska beginning in September and into most of October. Visitors can then vote on their favorites across six categories.

Fall Festival at Shady Brook
Shady Brook Farm’s annual Fall Festival runs every weekend from Friday to Sunday through the end of October. It features live music, the Eerie Illuminations Halloween Light Show, Philly-themed America 250 corn
maze, more than 25 festival field attractions, Moonlit Maze, Haunted Barn, Alien Encounter, pumpkin patch, bonfires, food and drinks.

Quakertown Fall Festival and Truck or Treat
The annual festival returns to Park at 4th with a petting zoo, costume contest, hayrides, moon bounces, trackless train, bubble station, truck or treat, raffle baskets, games, food, entertainment and more.

Terror at the TileWorks
Enjoy the TileWorks through a different light with this immersive haunted house tour inspired by Henry Chapman Mercer's 1928 book, “November Night Tales and The Wolf.” Each one-hour tour is limited to 12 guests. Tickets can be purchased online.

Slate Hill Cemetery Historic Ghost Tour
Learn about the rich history, intriguing stories, and notable contributions with 45 to 60 minute walking tours. Timed tickets can be purchased online. The tour typically sells out two weeks in advance. All proceeds support Slate Hill Cemetery preservation and community education efforts.

Doylestown Spooktacular Parade and Costume Contest
The annual Spooktacular Parade and Costume Contest returns to Doylestown. Festivities start with a costume contest and activities on the lawn of the Bucks County Administrative Building, followed by trick or treating at shops and restaurants throughout town.
- When: Saturday, Oct. 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pumpkinfest in Doylestown

Pumpkinfest returns to the TileWorks in Doylestown this October. The annual fundraiser, hosted by BC Cares Educational Foundation, is a two-day celebration featuring live music, food vendors, family-friendly activities and its popular pumpkin-carving contest. The tradition brings together youth, amateur and professional carvers who will bring the imagination of Halloween to life through pumpkins.

Newtown Borough Halloween Costume Parade
The parade starts at The Stocking Works and ends at Brian Gregg Park and features several categories, including best homemade costume, group theme, Halloween horror, Halloween humor, family fun and pets, cutest couple, books and movies, and floats. Registration can be done on-site or ahead of time using the online form. There is no rain date.

Valley of Fear, Feasterville-Trevose

Valley of Fear, located at the Phoenix Sports Club, offers three spine-tingling attractions that will leave you trembling: The newly redesigned Original Haunted Hayride, a horrifying ride through the dark woods on a twisting, disorienting trail; Willie’s Shipwreck Cove, a haunted pirate-themed walk; and Miles Manor Haunted House, an outdoor haunted maze with up-close character interactions.

Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres, Newtown
Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres, located on the 230-acre Gunser family farm, consists of three frightening attractions designed to shock and disturb its visitors: The House in the Hollow, a haunted house attractions with its professional actors, elaborate set designs and top-of-the-line special effects; Sleepy Hollow Hayride, a winding mile-long ride through acres of darks woods and fields where you will encounter ill-fated spirits and sideshow spectacles; and Field of Fright, a terrifying adventure through the Forbidden Village of Sleepy Hollow where you will make your way past cornstalks and through buildings that will leave you on edge at every turn.

Halloween Fun at Winding Brook Farm
Winding Brook offers something fun for everyone. For families with younger ones, the farm offers plenty of activities, including its pumpkin patch, hayrides, corn maze and hay bale maze, concessions and live entertainment. For those looking for more of a thrill, venture over Friday or Saturday night for their haunted attractions: Night Chills Haunted Hayride, The Haunted Hay Maze and The Corn Walk of Horror.
