A stretch of York Road in Warminster is closed following a major accident Wednesday afternoon involving a truck and a motorcycle that left one person injured.
Warminster police is asking drivers to avoid York Road between County Lane Road and Henry Avenue which will remain closed for a "significant time," according to a Crimewatch Post.
Police responded to a report of an accident around 3:15 p.m. at York Road near 6th Avenue where a truck turning off 6th Avenue struck a motorcycle that was southbound on York Road.
The motorcycle operator, who was not identified, was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital.
The Bucks County District Attorney's Office Crash Investigation Team is on scene. Police did not release additional information.
This is the second
major accident along York Road in the last month. In August,York Road was closed for hours after several vehicles were involved in an accident at York and North Norristown roads.
Warminster police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident to call 215 672-1000 with information they may have.
