A new casual eatery focused on serving healthy, flavorful meals is opening soon in Yardley.
Fresh as Duck Café — which is coming to the Yardley Town Center on South Main Street in the former Crepeberry space — is in its final stages of preparation with an aim to open by mid- to late-November, its owners Doug Phillips and Melanie Rivera said in a phone interview.
The couple have been working to transform the space into a welcoming spot with a large mural as its centerpiece, a tribute to Yardley painted by local artist Jaileen Nieves.

With a seasonally inspired menu, featuring breakfast and lunch options, Phillips and Rivera said they look forward to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create scratch-made meals, some of which will have hints
of Hispanic and Mediterranean influences.
“We want to serve people exciting, upbeat food with fresh flavors. We’re really trying to be different, trying to be creative with our salads and coming up with salads and sandwiches they can’t find at other restaurants,” Phillips said. “And we want to make sure every person who walks in the door matters, every order matters, every day matters.”
When will the new Yardley restaurant be open?
