The Caller-Times wants more face time with the community. We’re inviting you to chat with us while supporting a local business.
Stop by The Coffee Mugg in Corpus Christi between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18, to chat with Caller-Times journalists.
This is a time for you to share a news tip, ask questions about a story or simply meet some of the people behind the bylines.
This event will mark the launch of our new mobile newsrooms, where we will make ourselves available to our readers in an effort to engage with the community we cover.

The first 20 people who visit us will receive a coupon for $5 off your order at The Coffee Mugg.
The shop is at 4535 S. Padre Island Drive, Suite 14.
What’s going on in your neighborhood or your child’s school?
What do you want to know about how journalists work? How can the Caller-Times help you make sense of what’s happening in our city and region?
We are here to answer your questions.
Here’s who will be at The Coffee Mugg on Sept. 18, in addition to me:
- Kirsten Crow, City Hall reporter
- Olivia Garrett, education reporter
We intend for this to be just the first of our mobile newsrooms, with a different location around town each time to reach as many of you as we can. We also plan to include different reporters each time.
If you have suggestions, you can find my email address below.
