A disturbance led to a man in his early 20s being fatally shot on the Westside on Aug. 25, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.
Officers responded to the scene in the 300 block of Brooks Drive at 1:21 a.m. They found the man with a gunshot wound and immediately administered first aid until medics arrived, an online post said.
The man was transported to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
Due to the nature of the call, detectives with the Robbery/Homicide Division were called to the scene.
After preliminary investigation, police determined that a disturbance had occurred before the man was shot. Multiple people were detained at the scene and were transported to the police station for interviews.
No arrests had been
announced as of 9 a.m. Aug. 25.
The people involved know each other and this is an isolated incident, police said. The investigation is active and ongoing.
