More community meetings are planned for Corpus Christi residents to give their two cents on where the city spends its dollars.
Four additional public sessions on the city’s upcoming budget are scheduled between Aug. 12 and Aug. 17, according to an Aug. 11 news release.
The meetings are intended for residents to share their thoughts with city officials on how they want their taxes used in services such as those for infrastructure, parks and libraries.
City staff will also be on hand to field questions, an email shows.
The budget is under active discussions in the City Council. It will not be finalized until two votes in September.
Each of the community meetings will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Below are the scheduled dates and times of the meetings,
as shown in the news release.
- Aug. 12 — Ethel Eyerly Senior Center, 654 Graham Road
- Aug. 17 — Corpus Christi Police Department Training Academy, 6902 Yorktown Blvd.
- Aug. 19 — Northwest Senior Center, 9725 Up River Road
- Aug. 24 — Seashore Learning Academy Gym, 15801 S. Padre Island Drive
