After helping lead London to the UIL Class 3A Division I state tournament, junior Aiden Salinas was named a first-team shortstop on the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 3A all-state baseball team.
Salinas was joined by second-team second baseman JJ Villegas and third-team catcher Christian Olivares. Dax Williams received honorable mention at first base and Cristian Villegas earned honorable mention in the outfield.
The Pirates led the Coastal Bend with five all-state selections.
Falfurrias' Derek Vasquez was named to the third team at shortstop and teammate Andre Cisneros received honorable mention at first base.
Bishop's Aidan Arreola-Andalon received
honorable mention at second base and Taft's Joseph Barrios earned honorable mention at second base.
In Class 2A, Refugio's Ray Lewis was a second-team selection as a relief pitcher and Port Aransas' Boston Wagner was named to the second team in the outfield.
Refugio's Zander Willis received honorable mention in the outfield.
