Three seats on the Corpus Christi ISD school board are up for grabs this November.
Seven candidates have filed for a place on the ballot, hoping to join the Corpus Christi Independent School District Board of Trustees. The board is responsible for overseeing and governing the school district, setting policies, budgets and tax rates and choosing the superintendent.
The election will be held Nov. 3. The deadline for candidates to file was Aug. 17.

District 1

- John Daniel Eguia
District 3
- Stuart M. Bell
- Duke Canchola
District 4
- Dolly Gonzales Trolley
- Samuel Aundrȧ Fryer
- Francisco Javier Eguia
Gonzales Trolley, Villarreal and Bell are all incumbents currently serving on the school board. Bell is also known as Marty Bell.
District 1 includes the northern portions of the school
district, bounded by Agnes Street, Airport Road, Horne Road, Gollihar Road, Carroll Lane, Staples Street, Texan Trail, Santa Fe Street, Amistad Street, Corpus Christi Bay and Nueces Bay.
District 3 includes the Southside neighborhoods east of Everhart Road, bounded by Everhart Road, Oso Creek, Saratoga Boulevard, Cimarron Boulevard, Airline Road, South Padre Island Drive and Staples Street.
District 4 includes the eastern portions of the school district, bounded by Corpus Christi Bay, Oso Bay, Saratoga Boulevard, Cimarron Boulevard, Airline Road, South Padre Island Drive, South Staples Street, Everhart Road, South Padre Island Drive, Weber Road, Gollihar Road, Carroll Lane, South Staples Street, Texan Trail, Santa Fe Street and Amistad Street.
