Here are 7 events in Coastal Bend to pay tribute to Sept. 11 attacks

Sept. 10

• AAUW Book Sale: The American Association of University Women will hold a book sale at Neyland Library at 1230 Carmel Parkway. Proceeds will benefit the Corpus Christi Public Libraries and local scholarships for women. Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost: Free to attend. Information: 361-548-0282.
• Geek Gala: Monarch Madness: The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History will host its Geek Gala: Monarch Madness, an annual fundraiser for adults to explore, experiment and discover their way through the museum at 1900 N. Chaparral St. Proceeds from the event will benefit hands-on STEM learning, school field trips and educational programs at the museum. • "Moana Jr.": Port Aransas Community Theatre will show "Moana Jr.," a musical based on the 2016 animated Disney film. A teen girl sails across the Pacific Ocean to return the heart of a goddess as she teams up with a demigod to save her village and discover her true destiny. Time: 7:30 p.m. Cost: $15 to $22. • Hooks of Hope Fishing Tournament: Nate's Next Kid Up will host its second annual Hooks of Hope Fishing Tournament at 4234 Laguna Shores Road. The first 100 children to register will receive a free fishing rod to keep. The tournament will include four-person teams as well as kids', men's and women's divisions.
