Corpus Christi ISD named two new principals July 30 for the 2026-27 school year.
Rachel Neff-Rupp will lead Baker Middle School.
Neff-Rupp previously led Cunningham Middle School at South Park, where she established the school's STEM+M program in partnership with the Baylor College of Medicine, according to a Corpus Christi Independent School District Facebook post.
Baker Middle School's previous principal was Sarah Owen, who was named an assistant superintendent of school leadership for elementary schools.
Danny Noyola Jr. will lead Cunningham Middle School at South Park. He was previously principal of Haas Middle School, which is one of seven Corpus Christi ISD campuses that closed at the end of the 2025-26 school year.

"Mrs. Neff-Rupp and Mr. Noyola are proven leaders who excel in building cohesive instructional teams as well as forging strong relationships throughout the community,” Superintendent Roland Hernandez said in the Facebook post. “We are confident the Broncs and Wolves communities will have a smooth transition to the new school year.”
The district has not yet named a principal for Veterans Memorial High School.
Previous Veterans Memorial High School Principal Scott Walker was recently named an assistant superintendent of school leadership for elementary schools.
Amanda Vasquez-Kotch will lead Berlanga Elementary School next year. Vasquez-Kotch was previously principal of Kostoryz Elementary School, which closed after the 2025-26 school year.
Former Berlanga Elementary School Principal Mellissa Clearman will lead Kolda Elementary School.
Former Browne Middle School Principal Jenifer Guerra-Leos, whose campus also closed, will lead Carroll High School.
Former Sanders Elementary School Principal Marcos Aguilera will lead Windsor Park Elementary School. Sanders Elementary School was closed.
