A 36-year-old man was found dead in the water on North Beach the morning of Sept. 9, but police say foul play is not suspected.
The Nueces County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Isaac Cavazos. The cause of death is pending, said Joe Hayen, director of operations for the office.
Corpus Christi police officers responded to a report of cardiac arrest on Sept. 9 at 8:19 a.m. near Gulfbreeze Boulevard and Hayes Street, according to officers Antonio Contreras and Madeline Commons.
When officers arrived, they found Cavazos deceased in the water, Commons said.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
