Theater: 'Dracula' play coming to A&M-Corpus Christi; meet students behind it

Oct. 1

• Moshpit Addicts: House of Rock will host the 15th anniversary of Moshpit Addicts, an evening of heavy metal music, at 5 p.m. Cost: $10. Information: texashouseofrock.com.
• SeaFair: Celebrate the 51st annual Rockport SeaFair with a four-day festival at 1373 E. Laurel St. in Rockport. Enjoy live music, local vendors, food, contests, a carnival and more. Time: 5 p.m. Cost: Free on Oct. 1 only. Information: rockportseafair.com.
• "Dracula: A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really": Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will show "Dracula: A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really" in its Wilson Theatre. The adaptation transforms Bram Stoker's classic into a feminist tale where female characters are at the forefront. Time: 7:30 p.m. Cost: $14.50 to $16.50. • "The Addams Family": Join Harbor Playhouse for its production of "The Addams Family." In this musical about everyone's favorite spooky family, Wednesday Addams falls in love with a "normal" guy. Time: 7:30 p.m. Cost: $20. Information: harborplayhouse.com.
• "Dracula: A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really": Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will show "Dracula: A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really" in its Wilson Theatre. • Coastal Bend Heart Walk:  The American Heart Association will host the 30th anniversary of the Coastal Bend Heart Walk at Whataburger Field at 734 E. Port Ave. Through fundraising, community education and corporate engagement, the Heart Walk aims to increase funding for research. Time: 7:30 a.m. Cost: Registration is donation based. • Fairy Garden Workshop: Planted cctx will host its Fairy Garden Workshop with an alien and Halloween twist at 3847 S. • IBC Bank Mariachi Festival: The fifth annual IBC Bank Mariachi Festival will take place at 221 S.
