You still have time to speak your mind on how traffic may impact your life for more than two decades ahead.
The Corpus Christi Metropolitan Organization has set up two more meetings for residents to learn about and give feedback on a proposed 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan, according to an Oct. 23 email and online materials.
Updated every five years, the plan aims to tailor regional travel infrastructure for the roughly 25 years ahead, according to a news release posted on the agency’s website.
In part, that means putting “together data on how the systems are working to help us review the list of projects that will use federal and state funding … and ensure that our
investments align with the needs and priorities of our collective communities,” it states.

The news release lists a wide range of topics — not only limited to vehicle traffic — including safety, congestion, $1 billion in funding for projects, among many others, that will be tackled through discussion in the meetings.
Below are the locations, dates and times of the upcoming meetings, as shown in an Oct. 23 email from MPO officials.
- Ben F. McDonald Library, 4044 Greenwood Drive — Nov. 4 from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
- Flour Bluff High School Teaching Theater, 2505 Waldron Road — Nov. 12 from 5 to 7 p.m.
