A man using a wheelchair died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a Robstown street on Oct. 16, according to Police Chief Mike Tamez.
The crash happened in the 700 block of Bosquez Street, and Robstown police officers responded around midnight.
Tamez identified the man as 59-year-old Gerardo Bueno and said he did not use a crosswalk.
Bueno was declared dead on the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was interviewed by Robstown police officers on the scene and was not detained.
No charges had been filed as of Oct. 20.
The driver's vehicle was impounded for further analysis of the event data recorder, or "black box." The investigation is ongoing, Tamez said.
