MATHIS — The view of Lake Corpus Christi on Aug. 15 was a stark difference from a few months earlier.
As of Aug. 16, the capacity of Lake Corpus Christi stood at nearly 92%, according to city data. It had measured about 8% full at its lowest in May.
Amid the sounds of passing dragonflies and black-bellied whistling-ducks, some visitors enjoyed the scenic view of the lake on Aug. 15 by fishing, riding bicycles, walking or taking in the nature.
Admission to Lake Corpus Christi State Park at 23194 Park Road 25 is $5 per adult and free for children aged 12 and under. For more information, visit tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/lake-corpus-christi.
