A man has been arrested on a murder charge in connection with the fatal Aug. 10 crash on the 7900 block of Highway 361 near Beach Access Road 2, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.
Liam Shannon, 23, turned himself in on Sept. 29 after detectives with the department's Robbery/Homicide Division obtained a warrant for his arrest, according to an online post.
On Aug. 17, traffic investigators gathered information that determined Shannon had caused the crash intentionally, Corpus Christi police said.
Jarrod Fangman, 59, died at the scene of the two-vehicle crash after a southbound driver swerved into the northbound lane.
Shannon and Fangman did not know each other, the online post said.
This is an active and ongoing investigation.
