A few weeks into the season, we are starting to see teams shake out into tiers in the Coastal Bend.
Some teams challenged themselves with tournament competition and many have squared off against some of the top teams in the region.
With district play getting closer, here are the first Corpus Christi high school volleyball power rankings of the 2026 season.
1. Flour Bluff Hornets
Hornets head coach Kara Wallace earned her 500th career win as Flour Bluff continuted its rigorous early season schedule.
2. Calallen Wildcats
The Wildcats have had considerable tournament success in 2026.
3. Gregory-Portland Wildcats
G-P is another talented squad that has tested itself often in the early part of the season.
4. Veterans Memorial Eagles
The Eagles have passed every test against Coastal Bend foes so far, while also challenging themselves in tournament play.
5. Tuloso-Midway Cherokees
Cherokees are surging after winning the Orange Grove Tournament and faring well in Port Lavaca.
6. Orange Grove Bulldogs
The Bulldogs played all the way into the championship match of their home tournament.
7. Carroll Tigers
Bolstered by talented freshmen, Carroll has looked improved so far this season.
8. Sinton Pirates
The Pirates also played well at the Orange Grove tournament and have played up in competition for much of the non-district slate.
9. Rockport-Fulton
The Pirates hit a rough patch last week in tournament play.
10. London Pirates
The Pirates have played against some strong competition in tournament season.
