The intersection of Timon Boulevard and Gulfspray Avenue on North Beach will be closed to traffic starting Aug. 10, according to the city of Corpus Christi.
The closure is expected to last about two weeks, weather permitting, the city said in a news release.
This is part of ongoing infrastructure and revitalization efforts in the North Beach area.

The construction will include these neighborhood improvements:
- The construction of a new drainage canal to improve regional stormwater management.
- The development of the upcoming North Beach Eco Park.
- The reconstruction of both Beach Avenue and Gulfspray Avenue.
Drivers traveling through North Beach are advised to use alternate routes, follow all posted detour signage and proceed with caution when traveling near the construction zone.
Detours will be clearly marked to ensure minimal disruption and maintain traffic flow.
