The spirit of Día de los Muertos was alive in downtown Corpus Christi for the 19th annual festival on Oct. 24.
The event started at 1 p.m. with an opening ceremony two hours later.
Many attendees could be seen in elaborate calavera, or skull, makeup typical of the Mexican holiday, which is meant to honor loved ones who have died.
People were able to shop from local vendors, enjoy various food trucks and be entertained by live musicians and dancers.
