An area of Corpus Christi known for its big attractions has significant development on the way — meaning there will be changes to how motorists navigate the streets for several months ahead.
North Beach, long associated with flooding woes, is getting a new canal, as well as a planned eco park and a revamp of the well-traveled Beach Avenue and Gulfspray Avenue, according to an Oct. 7 news release.
Making way for work on those projects will mean detours and closures for a stretch of Beach Avenue, reaching from East Causeway Boulevard to Gulf Breeze Boulevard, for roughly four months, the email states.
It is expected the Beach Avenue closure will go into effect Oct. 12, according
to the news release.
