Corpus Christi police arrested a man in connection with an Oct. 3 fatal shooting in the 3800 block of Marion Street.Alex Borrego, 45, faces a murder charge, according to an online post by the police department.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 5:56 p.m. and found a man dead at a residence.
Officers detained several people at the scene, and detectives were called to assist in the investigation.
After police interviewed the detained witnesses at the police station, Borrego was placed under arrest and was processed at the Nueces County Jail on Oct. 4, according to the Nueces County Sheriff's Office.
Borrego remained in custody as of Oct. 5 at 8:30 a.m. on $1 million bail, according to jail records.
The investigation remains active and
ongoing.
