- Drowning Pool and Saliva: House of Rock will host rock bands Drowning Pool and Saliva at 6 p.m. Cost: $33.15 to $39.65. Information: texashouseofrock.com.
- Bailando International Dance Festival: Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will host its 26th annual Bailando International Dance Festival at the H-E-B Performance Hall in the Performing Arts Center at 6300 Ocean Drive. Enjoy a presentation of choreography from emerging and established dancers. Time: 7:30 p.m. Cost: $15. Information: bailandointernational.com.

Oct. 9
- ArtWalk: Enjoy live music, local art, vendors and food trucks in downtown Corpus Christi during ArtWalk, a monthly event, from 6 to 10 p.m. Downtown bars, shops and venues keep the party going after 10 p.m. The event was rescheduled due to weather. - Moonlight Magic in the Gardens: The South Texas Botanical Gardens will host its 20th annual fundraiser Moonlight Magic in the Gardens at 8545 S. Staples St. The signature garden party will feature live entertainment, food, drinks, a butterfly release, souvenirs, a raffle, photo ops and more. All proceeds go back toward the nonprofit. Time: 6 to 9:30 p.m. Cost: $150 to $10,000. Information: stxbot.org.
- Ritz Spotlight Series: The Ritz Theatre will hold its Ritz Spotlight Series for October with The Texas Blues Man, featuring original Blues Brothers Band member Tom "Bones" Malone, at BUS at 702 N. Chaparral St. The Ritz Spotlight Series is a taste of what people can expect when the theater opens after its restoration. Proceeds from the event go toward the rehabilitation of the building. - "The Addams Family": Join Harbor Playhouse for its production of "The Addams Family." In this musical about everyone's favorite spooky family, Wednesday Addams falls in love with a "normal" guy. Time: 7:30 p.m. Cost: $20. Information: harborplayhouse.com.

Oct. 10
- Interfaith Celebration: Join the Coastal Bend Food Bank for its Interfaith Celebration featuring cast members from Amazon Prime series "The Chosen" at Whataburger Field at 734 E. Port Ave. The event will allow attendees to hear personal experiences from cast members, help community members facing hunger and donate to support the nonprofit. Time: 11 a.m. Cost: Free to attend, but people must obtain a ticket at coastalbendfoodbank.org before arriving.
- Oktoberfest at Nueces Brewing: Break out your lederhosen, start practicing your stein holding and prepare for a day filled with German-inspired foods, music and family fun at Nueces Brewing Co.'s annual Oktoberfest. The event will feature live music, stein holding, a keg toss, costume contests, food and plenty of beer. Time: 11:30 a.m. Cost: Free to attend. Information: nuecesbrewing.com.
- Pride Parade & Block Party: Pride Corpus Christi will hold its annual Pride Parade & Block Party at Water's Edge Park at 302 S. Shoreline Blvd. Enjoy live entertainment, local vendors, food trucks and more. The event was rescheduled due to weather. Time: 4:30 to 10 p.m. Cost: Free to attend. - Paws and Pumpkins Trunk or Treat: Corpus Christi Animal Care Services invites families to its Paws and Pumpkins Trunk or Treat at 2626 Holly Road.
