A cozy coffee shop is closing after three years in the Fourth & Gill neighborhood.
Partial Cafe announced on social media this week is its last serving coffee, and its final day open will be Aug. 31.
"The shop was meant to showcase a sincere passion for coffee, without insisting on a 'right' way to enjoy it," the post said. "I hope that was felt during our time, and I hope Partial allowed the opportunity to explore and try new things."
Partial opened at 828 N. Broadway in August 2023 in what has become a North Knoxville coffee hub. It is just blocks away from coffee shops like Mia Piccola, K Brew, Jacks and Wild Love Bakehouse, as well as several others in the Old City.
Owner Shay Gregory told Knox News at the time that he hoped people would visit
Partial Cafe to experiment and try new roasters.
"Partial was an idea as a café and as a wine bar to start opening up people's palates to things that they have not experienced, and to also sort of reward that preference that they already had," he said in 2023.
Something else is planned for the Broadway location, according to the post, but we don't know yet what it will be.
Intrepid Nitro Coffee and Tea Bar isanother coffee shop that announced a closurethis month at its Bearden location. That shop is continuing to operate its Hardin Valley location.
