Dolly Parton's "extraordinary life, legacy, and contributions to country music" will be honored on the genre's biggest stage with an Aug. 29 tribute in her memory.
Parton died Aug. 25 after a brief battle with an undisclosed form of cancer. The singer-songwriter, actress, and philanthropist was 80 years old.
"In honor of Dolly's incredible spirit of giving, a portion of ticket sales for the Aug. 29 show will be donated to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library," the Opry said in a social media post.
Parton had faced a series of health concerns in recent months, which prevented her from attending an announcement about Dollywood's newest ride in 2025 and later delayed her planned Las Vegas residency until 2026.

The Grand Ole Opry's tribute show remembering Parton will be held Aug. 29 at 8 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. CT. The event will feature performances by Opry members Carly Pearce, Kathy Mattea, T. Graham Brown. Molly Tuttle, Dan Tyminski, Channing Wilson and Belle Frantz will also be performing.
"We invite you to tune in as we say goodbye to a true icon: gifted musician, Opry member, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and friend," a post on theOpry's website says about the tribute.
Fans can purchase tickets online, with resale prices currently ranging from $232 to $2,405, or listen on the show's flagship station, WSM AM.

Was Dolly Parton a Grand Ole Opry member?
Parton was inducted into the Grand Ole Opryon Jan. 4, 1969. Becoming an Opry member fulfilled a lifelong dream for the country music icon, who first performed on the Opry stage as a child.
"They call it the 'Mother Church,' because the old Ryman was a church, but it's sacred to me, wherever it goes — the church of my heart," said Parton of the Opry. "For me, the Opry is like the song 'New York, New York' — if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere."
