Three of the four main contenders for Tennessee governor will face off in the only independent forum for governor candidates this year at 8 p.m. ET Oct. 27.
The debate is hosted by the Tennessee Press Association and streamed by Middle Tennessee State University.
“Members of the press have a duty and public service to inform Tennesseans about government and public affairs, including elections,” press association President David Gould said. “This is the first time in eight years Tennessee voters will elect a new governor and it’s important the public hear from the major candidates in an open forum.”
