U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth will be at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville for Tennessee football's game against Alabama on Oct. 17.
The visit, announced by the U.S. Department of Defense, comes less than a month after President Donald Trump visited Neyland Stadium on Sept. 26 for Tennessee's game against Texas.
The Pentagon chief's visit is part of the "Send Me Tour," a military outreach initiative Hegseth launched last month. The tour recently brought him to the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he addressed the school's cadet wing Oct. 3 ahead of the Air Force vs. Navy football game.
In addition to attending the Volunteers' matchup with the Crimson Tide, Hegseth will speak to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville's ROTC cadets and administer
the oath of enlistment to new recruits, according to the defense department.
