Construction crews are prepping the land at Dutchtown and Bob Kirby roads for construction. Planning documents show the 2-acre parcel of land will become the site of 20 townhomes in the Cedar Bluff neighborhood.
The area surrounding the future townhomes is mostly single-family homes. The new development will be near Webb School, Christian Academy of Knoxville and Peer Academy.
According to planning documents, the townhomes will be condo-style, meaning they aren't individual lots. Each home will have its own one-car garage and driveway with enough space for visitor parking. There will also be a retention pond and landscaping on the property.
Since the 1990's, Dutchtown Road has been transitioning from agricultural to residential land. Knox County
has identified this area as a corridor for development in its future land use map, meaning residents can expect more projects like this one.
