The victim of a shooting in brawl outside of a Knoxville Shell station has been identified as 26-year old Tiana Younger.
Another woman also was hurt in a shooting in the parking lot of a gas station near downtown Knoxville. Two women were arrested.
Knoxville police say a fight occurred at about 5 a.m. Sept. 19 outside the Shell station on Summit Hill Drive. Lerisha Williams, 45, was beating a woman with a handgun when it went off and hit Younger in the chest, according to court records. The person who was shot was taken to a hospital and died, police said.
Williams was charged with reckless homicide.
Another person was shot in the fight, and had what appeared to be nonlife-threatening injuries to their head, police said. Court records show a 22-year-old
woman shot at their car as they drove away from the gas station, and faces two counts of attempted murder.
